Cracking noise in rod tip

Every time I bend my bass pro king kat rod tip it makes a cracking noise . Does that mean it’s a very weak rod or am I bending it too hard? I’m concerned it might break on a big fish

If the rod were graphite or composite I’d say you have a crack in the rod blank. Being glass I’m not sure but also sounds like damaged blank to me.

Maybe one of the eyes is loose and when you bend it the bland and the eye are rubbing… Dan

Just got the replacement and problem solved no cracking when bending I think the damage to the blank on the first one was definitely the problem thanks for the info yall
