Where to Get Licenses — Texas Parks & Wildlife Department

Purchase Online

Select recreational hunting and fishing licenses and endorsements are available at only one official online source (txfgsales.com) with approved Visa, Discover, or MasterCard. A $5.00 administrative fee will be charged. Many licenses may be purchased for immediate use except where tagging is required (such as for deer and turkey).

License Retailers

Licenses are available at approximately 1,800 retail locations throughout the state, include sporting goods stores, gun shops, department stores, discount stores, bait and tackle shops, grocery stores, and more.

State Headquarters and Law Enforcement Offices

Some commercial hunting and fishing licenses are available ONLY at the Austin headquarters and offices. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. unless otherwise indicated.

Please be advised, TPWD offices are unable to accept credit cards for all boat/outboard motor transactions.
