Interesting, had not heard that. Will give it a try this year and report back. I stock them in my pond each year to help control algae. Grandkids have a blast catching them on earthworms
It’s been many years since I fished Gibbons Creek, but I caught a lot of really huge ones on crankbaits in there. I imagine the warm water discharge has sustained the population through the really cold periods since then.
