The 35′ Cabo Rod Bender operates deepsea fishing and custom charters from Maui’s Ma’alaea Harbor.
Maalaea is centrally located, 20 minutes from Wailea, 30 minutes from Kaanapali. Rod Bender handles exceptionally well on Maui waters. Features include:

Rich history in Hawaiian sportfishing
Rod Bender has a proven track record in Hawaii big game fishing. Previously operating out of Kona on the Big Island, Rod Bender’s anglers have brought in blue marlin topping 1,000 pounds (“granders”), as well as tuna over 200lbs. We’re excited to have her on Maui now, manned by a friendly, experienced captain and crew.
Lanai fishing charters and landings
Rod Bender is one of the few Maui vessels with a landing permit for Lanai’s Manele Harbor. 24 hours advance notice is all you’ll need if you’re hoping for a private Lanai transfer. Travel time between Rod Bender’s permanent slip in Ma’alaea Harbor and the Manele Harbor (Lanai) is roughly 1.5 – 2.5 hours, depending upon whether you’ll be deepsea fishing or simply cruising straight to Lanai. If you’re staying on Lanai, and hoping for a day of fishing, Rod Bender will add an additional 3 hours to your charter time to cover travel to/from Ma’alaea Harbor.

6-HOURS: $1,950 ($2,245.76 w/tax and fees)
8-HOURS: $2,600 ($2,994.34 w/tax and fees)
Additional hours: $325.00 per hour ($374.29 w/tax and fees)
Minimum recommended age: 8
Check-in location: Maalaea Harbor, slip #45
Departure time: Between 6 – 6:30am. This can be customized this as needed. We recommend fishing at first light due to Maui’s frequent afternoon trade winds.
Cancellation Policy: 72-hours for a full refund. 7 days from 12/20 – 1/3
