Not looking for specific spots, however, I plan on trying the hickory creek area and the far east area of the lake. Does this area produce nice bass?

Tight Lines!
God Bless

Since no comments I would say Lewisville is a catfish lake.

Do you mean far west side?
Confused at this question. Hickory creek and the far east is the entire lake.
There are a handfull of holes on the west side which produce at certain times.
I have never caught a giant west of the bridge and I also have never heard of a double digit fish coming off the west side.
I have won tournaments and know others who win focusing on that area. The water color and lake bottom are sand and the entire west side will stain up after hard rains.

From the I35 bridge, hug the south side and go as far west that you can.

I would not do this, after Poindexter, the south side has lots of trees.
When you get to pilot knoll go north and then you will need to follow the creek on a map, there is some very shallow water and any stump you find will not be forgiving at all.
The run up into the creek is not super difficult, but you would want someone to show it to you.

Probably shouldn’t have said “hug” the south side…..meant Poindexter Branch, specifically launching at the ramp there and fishing everything west of it. Used to follow the creek back and usually did well. Didn’t catch any “monsters” or double digit bass but that wasn’t part of the question.
