I was just in Florida for a week and spent some time on the water and browsing the local ads. The price of a center console sure seems much more reasonable than in the past. I think prices and incentives have gotten much better.

I spent the last 3 weeks looking at Used Boats for max $20,000 budget, everything I saw was either junk or 20 – 30 % overpriced (still mostly junk), except for the one I finally bought near Dallas. But I live near Houston where bass fishing is NOT the focus like North Texas, so YMMV.

I was in the market until I bought my boat recently. I agree the market is strange right now. The 5k-15k price point just has nothing, nothing good or meaningful out there. So I guess all those boats have been marked up to 20k or more (?). The mid-range market just isn’t there. I distinctly remember boat shopping 10-15 years ago and this was not the case; back then, there was plenty to choose from, it was just nickel and diming-leveling yourself as a buyer into dropping or adding options to reach a decision within 1-2k of your range, whereas now it’s like immediately add 7k to your price range and “good luck, buddy”.

used boats under 30k are fairly easy to sell with current lcrs an spotlock trollers the boats 50k an over are tough because there is so many to choose from an if you arent paying cash with great credit you are still around 8% interest. then there are folks that think what they owe on a boat is what its worth , you can go on sites like bbc bass boats for sale an some have been for sale for over a year . nada is not a good tool because it doesnt keep up with the falling market on bass boats. a good rule of thumb is if you have had it for sale for a year an it hasnt sold the price is too high.
