Hi OFFers,
I will in Yachats all next week and want to do some fishing. Yachats River is currently open for Salmon. Anyone think it will be fishing?
Also intersted in doing some surf perch if anyone has a decent spot I should hit.

Go down to the mouth and see of the locals are fishing off the rocks at high tide. That would be an indication.

I haven’t caught any yet in the Yachats but I get intel from someone that does every year. I think you are going to be early, it’s a short river and based on the pictures he has sent me of some beautiful chinook, they were caught later into the fall.

I do not have a Facebook account.
I have a fishing buddy who is on Facebook solely to join various fishing groups. They are very well informed. They have 4 “friends” but I am not one of them.
Yeah…… Not my thing. The closest thing to scoial media for me are You Tube vids.
