Anybody done any good any good on the angelina lately(bass)? I used to go all the time but I can’t hardly get myself off rayburn to try it. I used to go all the time. Just wondering. Usually when it gets ultra hot the river fishing is good.

Wife and I went this past weekend, probably caught around 20 or so, so a REALLY slow day of fishing for that place. The generation schedule for the past several days leading up to our trip was 3 PM-7PM with 2 turbines, and we fished in the morning.
Got lots of hits on topwater baits though. Wife was feeling sick about 11 AM and we left after I’d caught 4 in the last 10 casts under the 63 bridge…
Saw lots of bream beds and caught a few redbreasts on our topwater baits when thrown near the bank…if the bass is anywhere slow that place has some awesome bream fishing too…

Is there a boat ramp suitable for bass boats on the Angelina? I guess a better question would be whether or not you can actually navigate a fiberglass bass boat down there.
I’ve never been but have thought about trying it some time.
